I do not believe that Apple is capable of coming out with "the next big thing" time and time again and I feel this is the beginning of my time to shine. Pundits rave and rant about how great or terrible Apple is, but at the end of the day it's just a bunch of men wearing suits who once had a great idea. So why are people crazy about getting the latest iPhone 5 which wasn't that great? Because in the past Apple has given us revolutionary products year after year and despite what critics say
this phone is keeping the revolution going. I'm sorry, but John Lennon disagrees. Apple isn't going to die, but it's going to get smaller. Apple no longer has anything that leads the way, even their ipods lack buttons which is a nightmare for runners and other athletes. Steve is gone. Apple is going.

Apple is trying to keep up on its short deployment cycle. It made sense when they were actually developing things quickly enough, but just look at the difference between the iPad 2 and 3---graphics on a device too small to really notice the difference. Apple's riding the waves of their last successes. They need to come up with something truly revolutionary or the Apple cult will revolt.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Steve Jobs made Apple work. He was the innovator. His ideas transformed the industry. I don't believe that Apple will be able to continue to keep up.
